Break-out
:
on 14th march 2010, i went to the theatre at the explanade to watch a show. the name of the show is "break out". it is a korean extreme dance comedy.
here is the plot of the show.
In a prison, five prisoners toil through their days of heavy labour, but they always try to find chances to play tricks on the prison guards. yet under the watchful eyes of these guards, coupled with their oppresion, these five amusingly clumsy and adorable inmates never lose their sense of humour. however, their lives were turned upside down when a sacred text mysteriously drops into the prison. the text made them hunger for freedom.
one day, on a stormy night, the prisoners break out of jail. they enjoy abreif moment of freedom, only to be pursued by the guards shortly after. they sneaked into a hospital. the sacred text's mysterious power helped them and soon the escaped.
after that, they sneaked into a church. they hid in the churchc and formed sincere relationships with the nuns there. however, they have to face the reality of getting caught again. in the last part of the show, they danced in a powerful performance that shows their longing for freedom.
i feel that this show is very nice and interesting. i was shocked to the core at the extreme dance moves done by the performers. i will rate the show 5 stars.
