LA home learning Assigment
:
Okay, i'm going to try to answer the questions
(i) What are the similarities in theme(s) between Flowers for Algernon and Where Have All the Flowers Gone?
The theme for flowers for algernon is discrimination and mistreatment to other humans.
The theme for Where Have All the Flowers Gone? is a song which protests war especially the conflict between america and vietnam.
Both the themes are talking about man mistreating man.
(ii)What do flowers symbolize in both pieces of work? Are flowers an effective symbol in both pieces of work?
I think that the flowers in both pieces of work symbolizes love. That is just what i think it may be wrong because im not sure what the answer is. Of course flowers are effective symbols.
(iii) Using the melody and format of the lyrics of Where Have All the Flowers Gone, write another song based on Flowers for Algernon.
This is hard ... Let me give it a try
Where have all the love gone?
So far Away
Where have all the love gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the love gone?
Shattered like soft fragile glass
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the happy times gone?
So far away
Where have all the happy times gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the happy times gone?
Blown far away in the wind
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
Where have the peaceful times gone?
Long time passing
Where have the peaceful times gone?
Long time ago
Where have the peaceful times gone?
Flowing down the river of time
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Into Battle
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Into Battle
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Covered with flowers every one
When will we ever learn?
When will we ever learn?
That's it!
(i took 2 hours to do it) .
